The 2013 Men's Conference will offer inspirational spiritual direction at the March 16, 2013 conference which will feature national figures and local favorites.

This year's Conference will inspire, motivate, and encourage you.  It will reach you where you are in life today, while also serving as a compass for the future.

The 2013 Conference is the fourth installment of a biennial event that began in 2007.

Each conference has drawn large numbers of spiritual men from all walks of life, culminating in record attendance at the 2011 conference of over 1,100 men.

The 2013 conference will continue its tradition of powerful presenters. The slate of speakers includes The Catholic Channel's "Seize the Day" host Gus Lloyd, international evangelist John Pridmore, Father Rick Wendell and local retreat master Father Michael Champagne.

Host of The Catholic Channel’s popular “Seize the Day” show on satellite radio (Sirius 159 and XM117), Gus Lloyd also travels the nation speaking on topics ranging from spirituality to apologetics to being a Catholic in today’s world. Gus grew up Catholic, then fell away from his faith as a teen. Years later, when his young daughter barely survived a near-drowning accident, he began a journey back to God and back to the Catholic faith.

Born in London, John Pridmore entered a life of crime at age 13 that progressed from simple stealing to prison to organized crime. During his tenure as a career criminal, he was involved in massive drug deals, protection rackets, and violent crime. At one time he had what he thought would surely make him happy: a virtually endless supply of money, power, women, and drugs. John came to realize the hollowness of this supposed “ideal life”, and began to work with at-risk youth, determined to show them alternate paths to the violent life that lay before them. Since then, John has become an author and international speaker, taking God’s message to tens of thousands across the globe each year.

As a thirty-year old carpenter and soon to be married, Rick Wendell was involved in a construction accident that would change his life forever, and not just physically. Later, during a trip to Yugoslavia, he experienced something amazing that would alter his life even farther – an appearance of Our Lord as The Good Shepherd, in which God asked him to become a priest. His amazing story of life, death, and graces given will truly touch you.

From humble beginnings as a tractor driver In Leonville, then a roustabout offshore, and eventually to a mechanical engineer, Michael Champagne heard the voice of God calling him, but wasn’t quite sure how to answer. He later joined the priesthood, and continues to serve the Lord in numerous capacities. Fr. Champagne is currently the religious superior for the Community of Jesus Crucified, retreat master for Our Lady of Sorrows Retreat Center, and a chaplain for Hospice.
